Californian's are funny people - it starts to rain and we all freak out! This winter is El Nino - which is when the water warms in the Pacific Ocean and it causes the jet stream to drop down and dumps tons and tons of much needed rain onto our parched lands.
Tuesday was the start of what we call "Storm Watch 2010" - normally the news makes a much bigger deal of the storm and what we end up getting is nothing like they forecast on the news...
But not this time - this storm was about as bad as I've seen in this neck of the woods!
Really these photos don't do it justice...
Even the trashcans on our street tried to make a run for it!
And the aftermath was a messy one...
I hope the storms have only begun - we need to rain bad!
You are SO right!... the photos do NOT do it justice... kinda just look like pictures of rain - haha! (We went out and took a few photos too and it was silly... just looked like wet & water :/
